Talk about trash
See the thing about some people, they can’t take a joke. I include myself in that category, sometimes. Okay, I admit, most of the times. Honestly it’s not because I have a bad sense of humour, it’s because, well, I have a different sense of humour. I look for intelligent humour - those the simple-minded don’t get on the first take.
However, a joke does not need to end with a “LOL”. Well, if you didn’t get my joke, I’m not going to cushion it with a “LOL”. That’s just ridiculous and a blatantly amateur, if you ask me.
Similarly, if you’re going to leave a smart-ass comment on me and think I will take it as a joke just because you ended the sentence with a “LOL”, think again.
(And not taking something as a joke does not mean I’m angry. I can be showing remorse or how I would want to reflect about what has been said.)
“LOL” is just a way of people either showing that they’re joking or they want to avoid a battle. I don’t really give a “LOL”.
The fact of the matter is I know that people talk - about me. And quite frankly I’m torn between giving a damn and not giving a fuck, because people like me are used to it. It’s just sad that people who I respect - like you, can’t seem to grasp the understanding of a joke. And for what it’s worth, that was months ago. Why are you still harping on it?
Then again, my type of joke is different from everyone else’s humour. But seriously, lighten up.
That passing comment about me being “mean” and well, pointing out my hypocrisy of “don’t usually” doesn’t change my life. And really, changing the “he”s to “she”s? I dare you to do it.
That was a joke. Should I end it with a “LOL”?
I get it, most people don’t get me and my humour. I’m sorry. I really am. I rubbed you the wrong way of which I thought was rather humourous, you didn’t get it and I hurt you. I’m sorry, really, I am.
I guess it comes from a past of people passing crude remarks about me, calling me names, talking behind my back - and I get it. That’s alright. I should be used to it by now.
Oh well, another person in line for the haters queue.
Though, I don’t really care about it anymore (comments you made, that is). I’m going to sit back, listen to some Adele and enjoy the rest of the day before booking in. Have a good week ahead, Christopher.
